Yes — to save your progress, manage your surprises, and track your PartyCoins balance, you'll need to create an account. Just an email and password, no verification step required. The process takes under a minute.

PartyCoins are the in-app currency used to publish birthday surprises. You buy them in a pack and spend 100 coins each time you publish a surprise and generate a shareable link. Unused PartyCoins are eligible for a goodwill refund within 14 days of purchase.

We offer three coin packs: 150, 400, and 1200 PartyCoins. Your local price is shown before checkout when available; otherwise USD pricing is used. Each published surprise costs 100 coins, so larger packs are better value if you want to send more.

The link stays open until the recipient claims their gift. Once they click "Claim", the surprise is marked as complete and the link can no longer be opened. Until then, the recipient can revisit it as many times as they like.

Yes! You can try the full wizard experience using Demo mode — no account or payment required. You'll go through every step of building a surprise and see exactly what your recipient will experience. Demo mode doesn't generate a shareable link; you need coins to publish.

BdaySurprise works in any modern browser — Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge. It's fully responsive for mobile, tablet, and desktop. No app download required.

Absolutely. All payments are handled by Stripe — we never store your card details. Stripe is PCI DSS Level 1 certified, the highest level of payment security certification.

Yes — they can open the link and go through the candles, balloons, and message as many times as they want, right up until they claim their gift. Once they hit "Claim", the surprise is complete and the link closes for good.

No problem. If mic access is denied, the candle-blowing interaction automatically switches to a tap/swipe mode. The experience is just as fun — we just use a slightly different interaction.

We consider refunds on a case-by-case basis. If you haven't spent any coins yet, you can request a goodwill refund within 14 days of purchase. Coins that have already been used to publish a surprise are non-refundable — unless there was a verified technical failure on our side. See our Refund Policy for full details.
